Careers

Help us build the connective tissue of modern work.

Most modern teams don't need more tools. They need better ways to stay in sync.

Surfboard gives teams a shared, always-updating layer of context: decisions made, background that matters, and what's happening next. We're not replacing your systems, we're working alongside them. Quietly filling in the gaps so teams can spend less time repeating themselves and more time moving forward.

We're building software that we'll use ourselves to run the company, automating the drudgery that dominates so much work today.

About us

We obsess about making things easier for people and are building software that we believe will be transformative in how they do their work.

We're building a tool for builders, for creators, for experts, for anyone who has felt held back by the systems they use and believes there has to be a better way.

We will use our product ourselves to run our company, automating the drudgery that dominates so much work today.

About you

You want to be part of a founding team, love to build, want to grow a company and at the same time will mourn when it gets big, obsess about customers, and believe in building software that lets people do more.

You are known for the quality and craft of your work, and you have a proven track record of building systems across start, middle and end.

You want to be part of a small growing team and are looking for the risk/reward profile of a very early stage startup.

You want to work with great people who build great things together.

Current Opportunities

We're not actively hiring for specific roles right now. We're focused on building, shipping, and learning from our early customers.

That said, great teams are built one person at a time. If you're someone who loves to build, obsesses about craft, and wants to help shape what we're creating from the ground up—we want to hear from you.

We move quickly when we meet the right people. We're always looking for exceptional engineers, designers, and operators who want to be part of something early and meaningful.

Say hi

We're always up to talk to thoughtful people, even if there's no perfect role listed.

If you're curious, send us a note. We'd love to meet.
